User Interaction Experiment

Here is a small experiment I've been working on. The goal is to create a grid component that will interact with multi-touch gestures and reverse engineered to interact similarly with a mouse. I deviated slightly from the goal mid way and began to focus on the transition of elements... -

For any of you reading who aren't familiar with the history of this site, it traditionally has been all flash. I consider my self first and foremost a flash developer, however, recently I have had a sort of muse that has led me to what is now the updated RenderGarden Media website. It came while I was teaching a Flash Actionscript class last week. I realized that the best medium for displaying small flash-bits is the web (duhh right?). However I also saw more clearly a great need for restructuring our biggest tool to aid and fulfill clients and friends of RGM... -

This has been an excellent week here at RenderGarden and we are more than excited to share with you even more updates (and believe it or not, even more will be coming soon!). First I'd like to introduce our RSS feed. Shortly there will be an icon representing the link, but for now you are welcome to head on over to http://www.rendergardenmedia.com/rss.xml directly to see the sweetness in action. Error 1069

As some of you know, I am experiencing some technical difficulties communicating with the database. Apparently Flash or PHP doesn't like the field name "fulltext" as a querying call to my database. Problem with that is: It is entirely pointless to have a PopUp window (read: page after "read" link) if all the text is on the front page. Argue all you like about the superiority of having full text on the front page, I WONT HEAR IT. Here is some code (albeit chopped up) to keep you readers entertained...
